A Snapshot of Your Day
The Project Design Engineer is a central member of the mechanical design team, so you will be developing creative, robust, reliable and cost-effective design solutions to address the challenge of achieving component producibility. The environment is dynamic, fast paced, challenging and motivating. You are entrusted with meeting suppliers to understand constraints, working to propose how definitions can be constructed to enable manufacturing approaches that meet supplier and engineering expectations.
You are part in achieving the company´s product strategies, namely providing component manufacturing approaches for our aeroderivative gas turbine product designs that are reliable and responding to the world’s ever- changing energy demands.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will study customer needs and fleet reports to generate different design approaches to meet with business requirements.
- You will meet with component suppliers to understand how we can jointly succeed.
- You will work with technical specialists in analytical and manufacturing fields to develop optimized design solutions to address business requirements.
- You will collaborate with your team to understand how the design direction affects projects and technical risk.
- As your design solutions approach production you will take part in work validation.
- In response to field failures you will take part root cause analysis assessments.
- You will ensure process compliance of your work, while closely working with your mentor in place.
What You Bring
- You have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, Aeronautical or similar
- You have the legal right to work in Mexico
- You are fluent both in Spanish and English
- You have 5 years of experience in a gas turbine design team discipline, including experience working with manufacturing to reduce cost and lead time through design activity.
- You are interested in gas turbine technology and how it can be developed to remain a relevant technology through the energy transition

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernisation, and digitalisation of the fleet.
