A Snapshot of Your Day 

Large Power Transformers (LPT) is a cluster of three Siemens Energy sites which design and manufacture power transformers for application in power generation and transmission. Historical circumstances result in differences of engineering processes, systems and tools. The task of you is to bring our site engineering departments in Europe closer together and improve the capability of cooperation and exchange. 

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • You will support all three sites in upgrades of existing PLM system and potential future introduction of new system.
  • You are responsible for our Large Power Transformers internal engineering process optimization and harmonization, primairly linked to PLM systems used in our engineering department
  • You have a deep understanding of our needs in engineering and your technical expertise allows you to make decisions and implement them in the workflow of engineers
  • You see yourself as a service provider, the actual improved efficiency of our engineering departments is the measure for your work
What You Bring
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar professional education combined with relevant experience 
  • Several years of professional experience in Mechanical Design Engineering
  • PLM expertise is required (Windchill or Teamcenter preferred)
  • Good knowledge of CAD system and fundamentals of ERP system, in regards of interface with PLM, is also required
  • Good end-to-end engineering process knowledge in at least one established system combining CAD/PDM/ERP
  • English and German language skills 
  • Willingness for occasional travelling to our LPT sites
