A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you’ll interact with a wide range of interfaces including other engineering groups, external customers, and partners, to ensure the successful execution of various Simens Energy projects. You will review plant process designs, conduct hazard analyses, and create essential documentation and reports that ensure our projects meet the highest standards. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will coordinate and implement functional safety and technical plant safety topics in power generation and distribution plants.
  • Create and align technical safety concepts with involved stakeholders.
  • Lead and facilitate hazard analyses and risk assessments (e.g., HAZID, HAZOP, QRA, SIL).
  • Specify and determine safety requirements that are critical to project success.
  • Advise on the implementation and validation of safety requirements, ensuring compliance and effectiveness.
  • Verify implemented safety functions and create comprehensive evidence documentation.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience in process engineering and/or power plant operations.
  • A degree in engineering with a focus on electrical, process, or mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Professional experience in planning process plants, power generation, and distribution plants, or in functional safety/technical plant safety is a plus.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and guidelines (e.g., IEC 61508/61511, VDI/VDE 2180, IEC 62061, ISO 12100, IEC 61882) is advantageous.
  • Excellent moderation, communication, and organizational skills, with a passion for teamwork.
  • Proficiency in English is essential, and additional language skills are a bonus.
  • An analytical mindset with a reliable and structured approach to work.
