Order Manager at Siemens Energy

As an Order Manager at Siemens Energy, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that every order is handled with outstanding care. You will lead all aspects of the local execution of sales orders and maintenance contracts, working closely with our Project and Finance/Commercial Managers. Your focus will be on coordinating and monitoring sales orders from reception to delivery and ensuring timely payment from customers. This role will see you in direct contact with customers and collaborating with various internal departments, including project management, finance, supply chain management, insurance, tax, legal, and logistics.

How You’ll Make an Impact  

  • Clarify parts requests and quantities, translating engineering comments into customer-friendly language.
  • Manage abeyances and provisional part numbers, ensuring clear communication with customers regarding reasons and additional material needs.
  • Cultivate connections with customers and collaborators, coordinating adherence to shipping plans, insurance, and material acceptance procedures.
  • Acknowledge orders, support debt collection, and monitor project achievements and budgets to minimize costs.
  • Ensure adherence to PM standards and complete necessary paperwork across all departments.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Commercial Teams for purchase order processing and maintain data quality in Sales Force.
  • Resolve issues related to customer purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation for goods importation.
  • Track deliveries with the Delivery Supervisor and support the Commercial team with accurate order forecasting for revenue generation.

What You Bring 

  • 3 – 5 years of Order Management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possessing a CIPS or CIPSMN certificate will be beneficial.
  • Good knowledge of Nigerian import procedures and required import documents.
  • Familiarity with SAP and Sales Force tools will be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Incoterm 2020 and its implementation would be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Must be goal-oriented, comfortable working in diverse teams, and experienced in managing multiple tasks.
