A Snapshot of Your Day
Imagine joining a team that is helping transform traditional power equipment into intelligent, data-driven assets. As a Operation Engineer, you will support the engineering, configuration, and delivery of transformer monitoring solutions that help customers improve asset reliability and operational performance. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will participate in design activities, system integration, testing, and commissioning while gaining valuable exposure to substation and monitoring technologies. Your work will contribute directly to successful project delivery and high-quality customer solutions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You support the development, review, and maintenance of engineering deliverables, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and system configurations for transformer monitoring systems.
- You assist in configuring and integrating transformer monitoring devices, including DGA, bushing monitoring, and related monitoring solutions.
- You support project execution activities during installation and commissioning phases, helping troubleshoot technical issues and ensuring reliable system performance.
- You participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and on-site commissioning activities when required.
- You collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure smooth execution and alignment of technical requirements.
- You prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, test reports, and configuration records.
- You support quality and safety compliance activities in accordance with Siemens Energy standards and project requirements.
What You Bring
- You hold a Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Power Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
- You have initial engineering experience or internship exposure in electrical systems, transformer monitoring, substation automation, or related fields.
- You are familiar with engineering tools such as EPLAN, EBASE, or similar electrical design software.
- Basic knowledge of transformer monitoring systems, DGA, bushing monitoring, or substation environments is an advantage.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as IEC 61850 or Modbus is a plus.
- Exposure to testing, commissioning, or field services activities would be beneficial.
- You communicate effectively in English and Chinese and are willing to travel to customer sites when required.
- You are eager to learn, proactive, and enjoy working in a collaborative and international environment.
