A Snapshot of Your Day

The Operational Excellence Service Project Manager will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and implementing projects aimed at improving efficiency and driving continuous enhancement of processes and tools within the project management organization for Compression services in Asia Pacific and China. This role focuses on ensuring full visibility of the end-to-end implementation process for service orders (field service, parts, modernization and upgrades, etc.), ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are tracked and met, and support in providing customers with the best service experience. This entails working closely with cross-functional teams (project managers, order managers, global service operations, strategy, etc.), managing dashboards, harmonizing processes, and implementing/adapting software and AI-based tools to enhance our execution practices in the region.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead initiatives to streamline and optimize processes related to service orders, including parts, repairs, field services, and advanced business. Identify and implement relevant methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement standardized tools and methodologies to ensure consistent and transparent tracking of service orders from initiation to completion. Create, adapt and manage relevant dashboards.
  • Ensure visibility of the entire implementation process, enabling proactive management and timely resolution of issues. Proactively work to understand process bottlenecks and inconsistencies and propose how to address them.
  • Establish, analyze and monitor key performance metrics to measure the success of operational excellence initiatives. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Facilitate regular Kaizen and workshops to improve operational efficiency. Conduct training sessions to educate team members on new processes, tools, and standard methodologies. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Ensure that all initiatives are aligned with customer needs and expectations, enhancing overall customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • This role can also be involved in directly managing service orders as and when required.
  • 10-20% domestic / international travel required.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or project management; experience in a customer-focused organization or Oil & Energy industry is a plus.
  • Proven experience in guiding central initiatives and coordinating performance metrics such as Timely Delivery, Lead Time, and Net Profit Margins.
  • Strong analytical skills for data analysis and identifying key issues.
  • Excellent communication and customer management skills.
  • Proficiency in managing dashboards and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Familiarity with AI-based tools and ERP software (e.g., SAP) preferred; experience in creating dashboards using Tableau or Power BI is also preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and individually with enthusiasm, along with self-motivation to achieve goals efficiently.
