A Snapshot of Your Day
We are looking for experienced technicians to join our Polish Technician Pool. You will be part of a permanently employed flexible technician team initially supporting service and troubleshooting activities on SGRE Offshore wind farms. The role will involve leading small teams to deliver service and other scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities on the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG). This is a travelling role so technicians can live anywhere in Poland working a 50/50 shift pattern, e.g. 2 weeks on/2 weeks off or 4 weeks on/4 weeks off.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Leading a team of technicians to safely deliver Maintenance and Troubleshooting activities on Offshore Windfarms
- Active safety leadership when in the turbine and in the Wind Farm - ensure correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses and unsafe acts / conditions.
- Ensure compliance with Siemens Gamesa standards and legislation in relation to Environment Health & Safety (EHS), Quality and Service delivery & customer and contractual obligations whilst executing work packages / tasks.
- Remote diagnosis of turbine faults.
- Support technical supervision of critical tasks as required as well as support for the welfare of technicians whilst on site and escalation of any issues relating to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), transportation, and equipment.
- Maintain efficient timescales for delivery of service activities to assist in the creation of daily, weekly plans for site teams as in conjunction with Service Planner / Service Coordinator / Stores Operators if required
What You Bring
- Ideally qualified to a minimum of MT level on the Siemens Wind Turbine Competence Framework (WTCF) or have a formal electrical background and education.
- A proactive approach to all areas of Health and Safety for both yourself and your team
- A strong communicator willing to undertake assignments and work individually
- A valid driving license and be able to pass an offshore medical.
- Previous experience of carrying out fault finding or troubleshooting on electrical/mechanical systems.
