How You’ll Make an Impact
- Support the inspection of combustion turbines, steam turbines and generators at our customers’ power plant.
- Travel (up to 60 - 80% annually for this position) to Combustion Turbine and Steam Turbine sites and perform field NDE inspections per Siemens Energy requirements. Primarily domestic travel. International travel is required.
- Assist in the development of NDE applications and tooling for use in the field.
- Stay updated with technology & certifications.
- Record and report the results of combustion turbine component testing on site.
- Correctly use and maintain all NDT equipment.
What You Bring
- College degree or above, majoring in metal materials engineering, mechanical engineering, NDT and welding are preferred.
- Knowledge of NDT testing methods (e.g., VT/ PT/ MT/ ET/ UT/ RT or RT film evaluation), certification according to ISO9712/ASNT, level 3 preferred. RT, phased array UT, automated NDE, or remote visual inspection experience is desired but not absolutely required.
- Power plant inspection experience and/or expertise for Siemens Energy gas turbine or steam turbine inspection is preferred.
- Computer skills with proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge related to the inspection of turbine/generator component is preferred.
- High degree of flexibility, unrestricted mobility, ability to work in a team and communication skills in relation to foreign countries and cultures.
- Willing to extensively travel domestically/internationally on short notice and work flexible hours.

Our Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. We provide zero or low emission power generation and encompass all gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators under one roof. Our team is dedicated to decarbonization through modernization and digitalization of the fleet.
