A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Maritime Commercial & Logistics Specialist (similar: Logistics Sales Specialist), you will play a pivotal role in shaping maritime logistics solutions that support Siemens Energy’s offshore wind power business globally, for both new and existing wind farm projects.

This is a highly visible and cross-functional role, requiring the ability to combine commercial insight, maritime expertise, and analytical thinking to deliver competitive and executable project solutions.

You will act as a key interface with Service Sales, Bid-management, Operations and external customers on offshore logistics-related topics, ensuring that maritime and logistics strategies are technically robust, commercially optimized, and aligned with project objectives, during negotiations and report functionally into our Maritime and Major Programs (M&MP) department.  

Success in this role requires an analytical mindset, strong project management capabilities, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while handling complex operational, technical and commercial alignments.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support Sales and Bid Management teams by delivering robust, efficient, and competitive logistics inputs for customer offers
  • Collaborate with Operations Support to design and define logistics and operational solutions for new units and service extension projects
  • Evaluate factors such as weather downtime, port setups, sailing routes, and local regulations that may impact project feasibility
  • Carry out project modelling using various software tools, and continuously improve logistics models, standards, and best practices
  • Act as the subject matter expert during customer discussions and commercial negotiations on maritime and offshore logistics matters
  • Act as a global owner of a core logistics schedule, managing updates and amendments
  • Participate in project, sales, procurement, and operations meetings as required
  • Work closely with sourcing teams to ensure pricing is accurate, optimised, and competitive
  • Travel internationally as required (up to 25%)

What You Bring

You are an experienced maritime professional who combines operational understanding with commercial awareness and strategic thinking. 

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrate experience in project management within large, multidisciplinary projects
  • Background experience from the maritime, offshore, or offshore wind industries
  • Understanding of health and safety legislation and a strong safety-first mindset
  • Knowledge and understanding of key maritime standards, legislation and frameworks, including SOLAS, ISM, classification rules, and vessel contract management (e.g. BIMCO)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage customer-focused stakeholders effectively
  • and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical and commercial topics and influence decision-making across functions and organizational levels
