A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Logistics Analyst, your day begins with reviewing the current status of all critical shipments. This includes confirming cargo pickups, bookings, shipment departures, estimated times of arrival (ETAs), and customs clearance updates. You’ll update reports from key suppliers of essential materials for morning meetings, check material deliveries at the plant, monitor shipments via shipping line platforms, and daily meetings with the customs department to review sea/air shipment status.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Plan and schedule cargo pickups and shipments, including booking requests with carriers and forwarders.
  • Coordinate transportation and overseas import processes, ensuring smooth delivery from the country of origin to the manufacturing plant.
  • Issue operational instructions to freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure proper execution of logistics activities.
  • Monitor the full customs clearance process, ensuring compliance and timely release of shipments.
  • Engage in constant communication and negotiation with logistics providers, customs brokers, and forwarders to request quotes, manage special requirements, and align operational details.
  • Coordinate with carriers for final delivery to the plant, ensuring timely material supply aligned with the production plan (MPS)

What You Bring

  • A university degree in International Trade, with at least 2 years of experience in multimodal import/export operations (air, sea, and land), including cross-border logistics between the U.S. and Mexico.
  • Solid understanding of Incoterms, FCL and LCL shipments, container types, and land transport units.
  • Intermediate proficiency in English and strong skills in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SAP experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, autonomous approach to tasks.
  • Excellent communication and customer service orientation, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills, multitasking capabilities, and a results-driven mindset to support production planning and logistics execution.
