A Snapshot of Your Day
Step into a role where your expertise in Lean principles drives efficiency, transparency, and continuous improvement across complex construction projects. As a Lean Construction Management Specialist, you’ll champion modern delivery methods—such as Last Planner System, value‑stream mapping, and pull planning—to enhance project reliability and reduce waste throughout Siemens Energy’s construction projects. Collaborating with project managers, multidiscipline designers, contractors, and digital teams, you’ll help embed a culture of operational excellence and performance-driven project execution.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the implementation of Lean methodologies on major construction projects, ensuring alignment with corporate standards, strategic objectives, and sustainability guidelines while promoting continuous improvement.
- Facilitate collaborative planning and coordination sessions such as pull planning, constraint analysis, and Last Planner workshops to boost schedule reliability and cross-team engagement.
- Map and optimize construction workflows, identifying waste, inefficiencies, and delays, and developing targeted improvement strategies supported by Lean practices.
- Deploy Lean tools including takt planning, root cause analysis, 5S implementation, and visual management systems to enhance productivity and operational discipline.
- Drive project predictability and performance by monitoring production metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and integrating accurate data capture for improvement cycles; collaborate with digital transformation teams to connect Lean processes to dashboards, planning platforms, and productivity analytics.
- Coach and develop stakeholders at all levels, fostering a culture of Lean thinking, accountability, and problem solving, while documenting and sharing best practices through global guidelines, training material, and process frameworks for SE projects worldwide.
What You Bring
- Over 5 years’ experience implementing Lean methodologies in construction, industrial facilities, or infrastructure environments, with strong knowledge of Lean Construction frameworks such as Last Planner System, takt planning, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement methods.
- Skilled in production planning, process mapping, and workflow optimization for complex, multidisciplinary projects, with familiarity across all project delivery phases including design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Proven ability to lead workshops, coach cross-functional teams, and drive behavioural change within multicultural environments.
- Proficient in using digital planning and productivity tools, including Lean scheduling platforms, Power BI, or similar analytics solutions.
- Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, industrial engineering, or related field.
- Advanced English proficiency with willingness to travel internationally when needed.
