A Snapshot of Your Day

If successful, you will become a part of our extensive service network, focusing on large-scale Gas Turbine Power Plants and collaborating closely with our customers across Asia. Your role will emphasize understanding our customers' needs to drive the strategy for selling, bidding, and winning long-term service (LTSA) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contracts. You will engage with stakeholders across Service departments, various countries, and New Unit divisions. By actively participating in on-site customer meetings, workshops, and roadshows, you will promote Siemens Energy’s service offerings and ensure our value proposition is integrated into the customers' optimized business cases, ultimately chipping in to their success. Your efforts will support the increased penetration of Program Business in the Asia region.

How You’ll Make an Impact

As a Hub Sales Manager - Program Business, you will be responsible for market observation, bid preparation, and contract negotiation for long-term service agreements for gas and steam power plants in the Asia-Pacific region. Your tasks will include:

  • Collaborating with local subsidiaries to acquire new customers by communicating our products and services.
  • Leading and coordinating the technical sales team to prepare technical and commercial proposals based on customer tenders.
  • Developing and implementing a customer-specific bid strategy for projects.
  • Leading the internal approval processes (LOA) for your proposals at all hierarchical levels.
  • Creating life cycle cost analyses and evaluating customer assessment models.
  • Pursuing and negotiating service offers, including clarification and negotiation meetings both on-site and remotely, until contract closure and project handover.

What You Bring

  • Educational Background: University degree in engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Professional Experience: At least 5-8 years of experience in power plant technology, ideally with a focus on gas turbines and combined cycle technology.
  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated experience in leading all aspects of projects, covering cost, scheduling, risk, and customer management, with a preference for involvement in proposal development.
  • Contract Negotiation Knowledge: Proficiency in contract negotiations.
  • Leadership and Partnership: Strong teamwork, communication, critical thinking, analytical ability, entrepreneurial spirit, perseverance, and leadership skills for successfully leading the project proposal team.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel 10%-30% of the time within the Asia-Pacific region and to Germany.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
