A Snapshot of Your Day
As part of our HVDC Systems team, you will test and verify hardware and software for innovative high-voltage direct current (HVDC) projects in our test centers and support the successful commissioning of HVDC plants worldwide. Working in diverse, multinational project teams, you will collaborate closely with project management, engineering, commissioning management and end customers to deliver high-quality, customized solutions based on the latest HVDC technology.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Contribute actively to the energy transition by supporting the successful delivery and commissioning of HVDC projects for our customers
- Perform hands-on hardware and software testing, including customer acceptance tests, in our test centers and at customer sites worldwide
- Configure, test, and commission switchyard control systems for HVDC projects in a hands-on role
- Independently identify, analyze, and trace technical issues while supporting the engineering team in debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Support commissioning management in quality, risk and claim management, as well as in continuous improvement initiatives
What You Bring
- A completed degree in electrical engineering, ideally combined with around 2-5 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in the commissioning of bay control units, ideally SIPROTEC 5 with DIGSI 5, including the related high-voltage switchyard equipment
- Solid understanding of high-voltage and substation technology, including the testing of interlocking logic schemes and automatic control sequences
- Fluent English language skills; additional languages are highly welcome
- Full willingness and availability to travel internationally, up to 100%
- Flexibility and readiness to participate in national and international project assignments
- A collaborative, communicative and proactive mindset, combined with sound decision-making skills and a constructive approach to conflict resolution
