A Snapshot of Your Day  


As a Contract Manager, within People Systems and Services department, you will assist in managing and optimizing vendor relationships to support the company’s strategic HR goals.  You will help create vendor overviews and contribute to the development of a vendor management framework, including supporting procurement in contract compliance and performance.  

Key responsibilities include supporting our team with contractual background knowledge for their operational tasks such as checking to users and change requests and participating in vendor negotiations. As a Contract Manager at Siemens Energy, your day will be dynamic and impactful, providing opportunities to collaborate, analyze, and contribute to an active partnership with external vendors.  


Mode of employment: 24 months fixed-term contract 


How You Will Make an Impact 

  • Create vendor overviews: Assist in developing and maintaining a database of existing vendors, ensuring profiles are up-to-date and detailed for informed decision-making.
  • Develop contractual structures: You will also support the development of our own vendor management platform and IT landscape for change request management with multiple vendors. 
  • Engage in RfI and RfP initiatives: Support the execution of Requests for Information and Proposals, evaluating vendor submissions to identify suitable options for the organization. 
  • Participate in negotiations: Assist in vendor negotiations to help secure favorable terms and conditions, ensuring beneficial agreements for both parties. 
  • Support risk management: Help identify potential risks in vendor relationships and contribute to developing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring vendor reliability.    
  • Invoice verification and forecasting: Take responsibility for verifying vendor invoices, ensuring alignment with contractual terms and delivere.

What You Bring  

  • Strong academic background, preferably a Master’s degree in Law, Information Technology, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.  
  • Experience in vendor management, procurement, legal or project management, preferably within the HR domain.
  • A strong financial mindset to understand and manage contract implications.  
  • Ability to learn fast in complex environments and adapt to new challenges.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy and networking abilities, to build and maintain vendor relationships.  
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German is a plus.
