Working in the HSE department of the Business Unit SERVICE Offshore, you will report directly to the OFFSHORE SERVICE Central Europe & Asia Pacific HSE Manager.
How You’ll Make an Impact
You will apply all your HSE expertise with the aim of supporting Operational staff and other departments in applying the SGRE HSE management system and HSE rules. To achieve this, your main tasks will be to
Interface with the Operational Teams
- Providing support to the operational and management teams within its scope in promoting and implementing HSE improvement objectives, applicable rules and regulations and the SGRE HSE management system.
- Helping to carry out risk assessments and ensuring that they are reviewed regularly
Deployment of HSE Programmes and actions:
- Ensuring that HSE programs and actions are rolled out within its scope,
- Makes proposals for HSE improvements within the scope of his/her activities and may propose cross-functional actions for the Service OFFSHORE APAC organization.
- Contribute to the implementation of HSE directives and processes.
- Support operational teams in their HSE objectives
- Carry out corrective or preventive HSE actions relating to it
- Produce the necessary HSE reports
Audits / Inspections :
- Monitor teams' compliance with standards, HSE regulations and ERMS procedures in the various functions and draw up regular HSE reports for various contacts (field teams, management, customers, etc.),
- Contributing to internal and external HSE audits, in support of the HSE Manager,
- Carries out regular HSE inspections in accordance with the defined programme and ensures that the inspection programme for operational staff within its scope is properly implemented
- Participating in the monitoring and evaluation of subcontractors within its scope.
- Report on its activities using the tools in place
- Keep abreast of the latest regulatory developments
- To be proactive in suggesting areas for continuous improvement,
Investigations
- Coordinating communications with all interested parties (customers, operational staff, support services, management, etc.) following accidents/incidents or unsafe acts/conditions reported and coordinating the investigations to be carried out, as an Investigation expert.
- Ensuring that they are carried out properly and on time (review, analysis of causes, relevance of action plan, etc.), in particular by using the ENABLON tool.
Communication / Training
- Train/inform employees and other stakeholders about the HSE rules to be applied,
- Conduct HSE awareness campaigns (Toolbox Talks, communication campaigns, etc.) in the field with the operational teams within its scope
- Prepares/leads HSE presentations as part of the department's HSE communications program
- Coordinate emergency drills within its scope
Interface with customers and authorities
- Interacts with fleet customers on HSE actions programs or investigations following to events, HSE plans and other Customer HSE documentation
- Report HSE complaints/remarks from interested parties to line management
What You Bring
- Provide proactively HSE support to the operational and management teams and be present in the field 50% of the time
- Knowledge: Good knowledge of applicable local HSE regulations, expertise in HSE assessment and incident analysis, NEBOSH (degree level with equivalent professional experience) Similar significant experience in an industrial environment, interest in the technical aspects of processes, technical knowledge of industrial maintenance is a plus.
- Languages: Correct level of English is essential (C1) including technical English for communicating with foreign colleagues, customer and subcontractors, or reading all Corporate documentation, preparing documents etc....
- Personal qualities: Rigourous, autonomy, taste for teamwork. Committed and flexible, with a large proportion of activities linked to scheduling, Excellent communication, listening and leadership skills. Exemplary in terms of HSE.
- Other: Pack Office - advanced level
- Physical fitness: the job requires you to be in good physical condition, particularly for access in a Turbine, and not to be afraid of heights.
- Possibility to travel occasionally in other countries (ISHIKARI site in Japan particularly)
Working environment for the position of HSE Coordinator :
- This position will cover Hailong site in Taiwan and ISHIKARI site in Japan. ISHIKARI site is a very small windfarm, so the need is only to travel every 4-6 weeks to the site only.
- Safety: Vigilance with regard to compliance with the standards and procedures applicable in its environment
- One-off machine operations :
- Working at height, wearing PPE/harness and helmet
- Working near electrical installations
- Working in confined spaces
- The job requires regular travel within the given perimeter to wind farm sites, occasional on-call duty at weekends or on public holidays and some travel to head office or abroad.
