A Snapshot of Your Day 

Process Ownership: Assist the General Ledger and Closing Team Lead in daily operations, focusing on process management, performance indicator monitoring, and internal controls.
Collaborate with experts to resolve accounting issues, analyze discrepancies, and implement corrections while participating in process enhancement initiatives.
Ensure that General Ledger and Closing transactions are recorded accurately and promptly, in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP standards.

Collaboration and Teamwork: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, actively listen to their requests and managing operational challenges.

Share best practices and take responsibility for decisions alongside the General Ledger and Closing Team Lead.

Escalations and Process Improvement: Serve as a knowledgeable contact for the General Ledger and Closing team, providing support to analysts on accounting matters.
Propose and engage in operational initiatives, suggesting improvement ideas and value-added solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

• Ensure stability in financial closing activities and provide support as a domain expert.
• Extract, compile, analyze, and report data from various sources.
• Assist with ad hoc tasks required by management and provide feedback on complex issues.
• Manage internal controls and participate in audits by providing timely information.
• Update and create Desktop Procedure (DTP) documentation for existing processes.
• Engage in finance transformation projects and support the standardization and automation of workflows.

What You Bring 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in General Ledger and Closing accounting.
• Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and understanding of business processes in SAP.
• Experience in transition and transformation projects is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel for training and knowledge transfer.
• Open and communicative nature with fluent English skills.

In this role, you will report to the Team Lead for General Ledger, Closing & Reporting, while also being part of both the local finance community and an international network of accounting professionals.
