A Snapshot of Your Day
A Gas Turbine Supervisor’s day begins in an office, on-site, or at a tooling facility, collaborating with Field Service Planners and Project Managers to support outage preparation and review project plans. You will assist with spare parts recommendations, site assessments, and tool development as part of the preparatory activities. During on-site execution, the supervisor leads the Siemens Energy team and subcontractors, providing technical expertise and ensuring that tasks are completed effectively while prioritizing safety and quality. Throughout the day, you communicate with customer representatives and stakeholders to coordinate tasks and resolve technical issues. Additionally, the supervisor may engage in innovation and organizational development activities to explore new technologies and processes that enhance efficiency and HSE standards. You also work closely with local management to develop and train the Field Service Team.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Support implementation of complex service CCPP outages and other Gas Turbine service interventions in the role of Gas Turbine Supervisor for Siemens Energy 2000E, 4000F, 8000H, 9000HL Turbine frames in line with Siemens Energy’s and international industry standards and requirements regarding HSE, quality, customer satisfaction, adherence to process, cost, duration.
- Adhere to technological and process standards while collaborating with international teams both on-site and off-site.
- Document disassembly and re-assembly test results accurately, ensuring timely updates in relevant protocols, data sheets, and field reports.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with customers and project teams to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and meet project KPIs.
- Ensure that all on-site work complies with HSE standards, prioritizing the safety and health of subcontractors and team members.
- Provide guidance in resource planning and evaluate subcontractors as needed to support project execution.
- Engage actively in outage preparation, offering relevant insights for successful service activities.
- Contribute to the modernization of tools and processes, supporting digitalization initiatives such as paperless outages and data-driven maintenance.
What You Bring
- At least 5 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience on Gas Turbines, with knowledge of Siemens Energy Gas Turbine frames considered advantageous.
- Background in Steam Turbine Maintenance, Generator Maintenance, or rotating equipment maintenance in the Oil & Gas industry, with a willingness to transition into Gas Turbine service.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focusing on practical solutions based on technical knowledge and a willingness to embrace new technologies.
- Deep understanding of HSE and Quality standards relevant to on-site service execution, with the ability to supervise a diverse, multinational team.
- Strong internal drive, resilience, and dedication to meet overall and project-specific goals with flexibility in travel extensively.
- Basic understanding of contractual agreements and local laws and their impact on service delivery according to project objectives.
- Proficient in standard IT applications (Microsoft Office) and adaptable to new IT systems and databases.
- Effective communicator and team player, capable of solving problems under pressure in a complex international environment, with fluency in English and additional languages as a plus.
