Siemens Energy AGT (Aeroderivative Gas Turbines) is excited to be hiring a Regional Technical Support Engineer to join our friendly and knowledgeable team.
Working with Siemens Energy aero-derivative gas turbines (AGT) at our facility in Warwick, you will take ownership of the investigation and resolution of emergent customer issues, as well as support the development and implementation of longer-term solutions alongside your engineering colleagues.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Take ownership of the technical matters relating to the support of your assigned customers, including scheduled and unscheduled activities and issues.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues in a timely yet safe manner, supporting the return to service of critical infrastructure equipment.
- Engage with a range of functions across the business to deliver excellent support to your customers.
- - See opportunities for business development with customers and provide technical leadership on such matters.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support our customers, including the opportunity for overseas travel to customer sites.
What You Bring
- Strong experience in the operation and service of gas turbines, with experience in aero-derivative gas turbines being advantageous.
- Familiarity with and experience in applying a range of problem-solving techniques, both theoretical and practical.
- Comfort working in dynamic, fast-paced, customer-facing situations, with the ability to work flexibly to deliver creative, robust, and safe solutions to our customers.
- A flexible and collaborative approach, with the ability to connect with others and bring positive ideas to the team.
- A proactive mindset, with confidence in taking responsibility for assigned tasks and projects.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to adapt to change.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills in English, with an appreciation of cultural differences when working with a global customer base.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
