A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy Gas Services Central Large Generator Manufacturing Business Segment is hiring an Financial Analyst to be an integral member of this highly visible, dynamic, and hard-working team.  As a member of the finance team, you will be responsible for analysis and reporting of duties and tariffs, be involved in month end closing tasks and support the forecasting and budgeting process.  In addition, the position will also be responsible for collaborating with technical partners in support of project execution and related activities.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Review import documents for relevant information needed for duty drawback claims.
  • Customs Invoice Coding Backup and Material Master review for standard costs & HTS classification requests.
  • Month End closing involvement – posting journal entries and month end reporting; research and request data in a timely manner (missing import/export documents).
  • Work with customs lead to create and track KPI’s; fulfillment of ad-hoc requests with US Customs Team and assist in Duty Drawback process.
  • Work to create Forecast and Budget models to better support product lines with more transparency; use Customs Dashboard and SharePoint created to provide transparency on Tariff impacts to internal customers to aid in cost recovery.
  • Detailed data retention for Duty Drawback process – taking into account Tariff exclusions; establishment of continuous improvement processes and movement towards real time processing of documents.
What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
  • 1-2+ years’ experience in finance/accounting or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communications skills; able to clearly and concisely express information (or data) to technical & non-technical associates, peers and management
  • Experience in forecasting, budgeting, monthly reporting, and variance analysis
  • Working knowledge in SAP (FICO) 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be able to identify issues and resolve them independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within teams - conceptualizes and socializes ideas, make recommendations and facilitate team consensus to move forward.
  • Attention to detail, organized and desire for continuous improvement and innovation
  • Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments
  • Ability to conduct various forms of financial analysis (trend, variance)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
