A Snapshot of Your Day 

The main tasks of this position include the planning, execution and evaluation of high-voltage tests as well as supporting the basic development department in analysing and presenting the test results of vacuum interrupters. You will also be involved in the monitoring of switch assemblies for development and type tests and prepare corresponding test reports and notifications. You will also be responsible for the supervision of test equipment as well as the error analysis and evaluation of the results.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Planning, implementation, testing and evaluation (development of decision analyses) of test series / scope of testing
  • Supporting the basic development department in analysing and presenting the test results of vacuum interrupters
  • Supporting the R&D project managers in development projects and in assessing their feasibility and development duration
  • Higher-level monitoring of switch assemblies for development and type tests; development of test parameters for the individual tests
  • Evaluating and processing results and preparing corresponding test reports / notifications
  • Communication with clients (internal and external)
  • Supervision of test equipment, carrying out incoming inspections and preparing for the test, fault clarification, analysing results and actively driving forward the progress of the project
What You Bring
  • Completed studies in electrical engineering with a focus on high-voltage technology
  • Experience of the construction and operation of vacuum interrupters and their physical principles
  • Knowledge of the characteristics and operation of high-voltage power transmission networks and of the calculation of electric fields
  • Good analytical skills and a high level of comprehension
  • Ability to work in a team, ability to deal with conflict, strong communication skills, assertiveness and resilience and good written and spoken German and English skills
