A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Electrical Engineer in the Energy Storage and Power Transmission team, you contribute to the development and integration of electrical systems supporting the development projects. Your day combines hands-on engineering work with collaboration across teams and suppliers.
You will be involved in activities related to battery system integration, supplier qualification and electrical system design, while building your expertise in delivering robust, reliable and cost-efficient energy storage solutions for offshore wind turbines. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will collaborate with stakeholders in project, installation and marine functions to understand how electrical solutions perform throughout the turbine lifecycle.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Contribute to the technical development and qualification of suppliers for battery systems
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support technical, quality and cost targets
- Participate in the design, modelling and analysis of electrical systems for energy storage and power transmission
- Support the development and execution of test plans to validate performance and system integration
- Contribute to cost reduction initiatives through technical analysis and continuous improvements
- Assist in project coordination by supporting timelines, documentation and stakeholder alignment
What You Bring
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related field
- Some early experience through internships, student jobs or initial full-time roles within engineering or energy-related industries
- A strong interest in electrical system design, energy storage
- Basic knowledge of engineering tools such as MATLAB, Simulink or similar is considered an advantage
- A structured and analytical approach, with a willingness to learn and develop technical expertise
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and team-oriented mindset
About the Team
You will join the Energy Storage and Power Transmission team within Offshore Technology. The team plays a key role in developing and integrating electrical systems that support next generation offshore wind turbines. We work cross-functionally across engineering, project management, installation and marine disciplines, and collaborate closely with suppliers to deliver technically robust, scalable and cost-effective solutions.
