A Snapshot of Your Day

As an EHS expert in Siemens Energy – Grid Technologies business, you will report to the Head of Business Area and responsible for supporting the project organization to improve health and safety and to minimize the impact on the environment. In addition, you are responsible to coordinate activities and to establish procedures which are similar or identically for all projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Determine appropriate EHS strategy and set objectives and targets for the development of EHS and ensure the continued integration and establishment of a culture of EHS excellence
• Must report regular to the Project management and Head of Business Area
• Ensure the active and continued application and development of Siemens management system improvement activities so that, through effective planning and allocation of adequate resource, risks are appropriately identified and managed on all projects.
• Responsible for the EHS aspects of all projects.
• Ensure escalation to next level in issues that cannot be solved, were a project will suffer significant impact or in cases of noncompliance with legal, business or client demands.
• Ensure the development of appropriate risk management strategies for projects and undertaking EHS audits and reviews to identify areas of best practice and organizational risk. Use the outputs from these reviews to further enhance project execution and for improving EHS performance and mitigating risks.
• Initiate and drive improvement projects and internal audit measures thereby ensuring an optimal EHS standard and compliance
• Ensure that all accidents, near misses and unsafe situations within the area of responsibility are recorded in accordance with the Company accident and reporting procedures and all corrective actions are identified

What You Bring

• Degree in electrical engineering,
• Experienced for more than 7-10 years in delivery of large construction projects within Transmission and Distribution industry.
• Experience from working with EHS matters from industrial business or similar.
• Experience in preparation of EHS procedures
• Experience from working with management systems
• Be able to analyze and systematize
• Experience from tutoring.
• Able to work across cultures.
• Understanding of risk and opportunities management processes.
