Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the regional EQS activities and roadmap for the Grid Technologies Services and Solutions Team in Eastern Europe. Collaborating with global business owners and local EQS representatives, to ensure availability of EQS standards, as well as design performance clarity and audit procedures. You will ensure business compliancy to the given EQS standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Define, communicate, and stabilize EQS objectives and strategy. Build a positive relationship with local EQS representatives in EE countries, facilities and service operators. Make sure that EQS is followed in the organization, working closely with partners in the countries and central functions
  • Receive, eventually adjust, and adopt Siemens Energy’s EQS targets, strategy, and standards, and ensure effective governance at GT SV and GS region level, with particular emphasis on EHS.
  • Supervise and report on the EQS performance of each country in the region, to ensure that where required countermeasures can be designed and implemented effectively and on a timely manner.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with the Siemens Energy and Grid Technologies EQS policies and governance requirements, including EHS compliance, workplace & project safety, incident crisis management and Quality & Business Excellence.
  • Provide tactical guidance, operational support, and EQS consulting to Siemens Energy Grid technologies regional/local leadership, management, employees, and works in close collaboration with internal collaborators.
  • Responsible for Total Recordable Injury Rate (TRIR) and other safety important metrics, regularly support the business with incident management, including investigations, reporting, communication, and implementation support together with other EQS resources. In the area of Quality, the governance and performance of key topics pertaining Non-Conformance Costs (NCC) and Cost-Out / Continuous Improvements is a critical requirement.
  • Supports the development of regional initiatives and programs, while proactively supervising the EQS targets and goals to prioritize EQS activities to support business goals and achievements.
  • Promote Quality & Business Excellence awareness, ensure trainings with other functions such as Project Management, Service Operations, Sales), coaching to support the achievement of business EQS objectives, as well as seeking to simplify and improve EQS processes and procedures.

What You Bring

  • University studies in electrical or mechanical engineering or a professional qualification or appropriate EQS experience..
  • Over 5 years of proven experience working in corporate EQS or a similar environment, worked and understand dynamics of site works in Medium and High voltage substation (service/operations phase is a plus)
  • English proficiency; other languages are a plus.
  • You will impress with your agile attitude:, initiative-taking, and collaborative as well as with your analytical skills, effective communication skills, assertiveness, and ability to learn.
  • Advanced knowledge on strategic EQS topics e.g., EHS injury prevention methodologies, high-risk work activities, health management, customer quality programs, continuous and lean improvements concepts, process improvements techniques and non-conformances management
  • In-depth knowledge of EQS risk management, root cause analysis (RCA) techniques and methodologies, auditing, lean methodology, Quality fundamentals & principles, business excellence concepts, legal & compliance reviews, inspections, investigation methodologies, EQS digital tools and coordinated management systems.
  • Knowledge about the ISO standards pertaining to EQS and their implementation for a stronger EQS management system. Having lead auditor certification in each ISO will be benefit. Relevant EQS certifications including but not limited to NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma, Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt/Black-Belt would be an added advantage.
