Over de functie
For our offshore Gemini Wind Park we are looking for a Deputy Site Manager.
Wind Park Gemini is one of the largest offshore windfarms in Europe with 150 Siemens turbines SWT4.0-130 (4MW). Operations are guaranteed with a Service Operations Vessel and Crew Transfer Vessel.
About the Role
As Deputy Site Manager, you share the responsibilities for the day-to-day work carried out on site with the Site Manager and will take over these responsibilities completely when the Site Manager is absent. The Deputy Site Manager is the connecting factor within the operational team on board taking care of dispatching and making sure that incoming information gets processed distributed onwards.
You will set objectives and deliver agreed results that have a direct impact within the wind farm. You are expected to independently explain facts, procedural changes, etc. to the site personnel or Site Management. Ensuring the Zero Harm policy and upholding compliance guidelines is a must in this position.
Your direct contacts (internal/external) will be: Operational organization, Customer site representatives, Service Technology, EHS, Material Flow and Logistic, Procurement, Sub-Contractors, Back-office planners, Maritime Assistance Service, Quality Management, Operations-Support.
The Deputy Site Manager:
- Coordinates all persons at site and manages the distribution of tasks in the team and keeps an overview of all tasks;
- Ensures compliance at site with EHS standards according to Siemens Energy and local requirements. Active safety leadership within the shift - ensure correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses and unsafe acts and conditions;
- Ensures appropriate resources are available to achieve site performance targets within budget. Maintains service and retrofit KPI's and ensuring all tasks are being completed and logged within relevant timescales;
- Maintains and develops good working relationship with the customer and escalates issues to the Site Manager where appropriate;
- Maintains performance management of technicians in line with Siemens Energy processes. Monitors all sickness reporting and carries out all back to work interviews for all on site personnel;
- Supports the hiring process of technicians and takes care for the progress in developing technicians.
- Assists in the production and publication of accurate site reports for both internal and external distribution. Assists in the creation of the site delivery plan;
- Ensures that all reporting and recording is done in the various systems, in use on site (SAP, Excel, Proceedix, Fluix, Axxerion, Outlook, etc.);
- Assistance in creation of Permits to work;
- Carrying out Toolbox talks.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- HBO, MBA or equivalent experience;
- Experience in leading a team, Experience in a similar position;
- Previous work experience at Siemens Energy (Siemens Gamesa) is a pre.
- Understanding, knowledge and insight of technical and mechanical systems and turbine components are pre;
- Have good "soft skills" - be the connector within the team;
- Business English (oral and written) - Advanced Presentation methods - Advanced Microsoft Office - Advanced SAP – Preferrable;
- Living in the Netherlands;
- Willing to work in a two week rotation on the Service Operating Vessel (SOV), performing shifts of 12 hours per day. Crew changes bi-weekly on Wednesdays in the port of Eemshaven, the Netherlands.
