A Snapshot of Your Day

We are looking for an Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Commissioning Engineer to support the testing and commissioning of HVDC systems worldwide. In this role, you will work across control, protection, instrumentation, and communication systems—contributing directly to the safe, reliable, and timely delivery of large-scale HVDC projects.

This position is open to different experience levels. Responsibilities, technical leadership, and autonomy will be aligned with your background and expertise.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Executing commissioning and testing activities for HVDC systems in test centers and at customer sites
  • Supporting system integration, functional testing, and customer acceptance activities
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving technical issues during commissioning
  • Collaborating with engineering, project management, and customers during project execution
  • Contributing to quality, risk, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Configuring, testing, and commissioning control, protection, instrumentation, and communication systems, including measurement, automation, and SCADA/HMI functions


What You Bring 

  • Technical degree in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Experience working with complex electrical systems, including control, protection, and communication technologies
  • Structured, analytical working style with the ability to work independently
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or similar preferred

Travel, as needed (~6-9 months in Raleigh, 6-9 months in different location).
