A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
Siemens Energy Inc. is seeking a Commercial Project Manager (CPM) to coordinate the financial and commercial aspects of large gas turbine service projects, ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy FRGs and IFRS. The CPM will manage revenue, margin, and cash flow forecasting while conducting variance analysis, quarterly reviews, and price updates to maintain project profitability! Additionally, the CPM will handle customer invoicing, cash collections, and risk management, supporting sales and marketing with data for renegotiations and ensuring adherence to tax and regulatory guidelines!
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
- Be responsible for financial operations for Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA), ensuring alignment with company standards and compliance with regulations like Siemens Energy FRGs and IFRS.
- Lead revenue, margin, and cash flow forecasting for the project portfolio, conducting monthly revenue recognition and ensuring accuracy according to accounting guidelines.
- Lead quarterly project reviews with the Project Manager, presenting financial updates and conducting variance, scenario, and trend analysis to identify key insights and risks.
- Handle invoicing and cash collections for assigned projects, ensuring timely payments and maintaining healthy cash flow.
- Review and update cost standards quarterly, adjust cost models, and analyze price issues to ensure project profitability and competitiveness.
- Identify and present commercial risks and opportunities, support renegotiations and upsells, and ensure compliance with NCM guidelines, tax regulations, and project documentation requirements in Project Dash.
What You Bring (requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance / Business Administration / Accounting.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in business administration (MBA).
- 5+ years of professional experience in Accounting or Finance fields
- Detailed understanding of IFRS, Siemens Energy FRGs, and project accounting (Percentage of Completion), with proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and strong analytical skills; knowledge of Alteryx, UI Path, Tableau, and PDAsh is a plus.
- Prior experience in commercial project management, financial planning/reporting, marketing, or cost estimation, with a Commercial Project Management certification or a dedication to pursue it.
- Proven track record of working optimally in team-oriented environments, multitasking under pressure, and communicating sophisticated financial information to non-financial stakeholders, with international experience as an added advantage.
