This request is for a replacement to ensure business continuity for the ANALISTA CONTROLADORIA SR position within the Business Controlling team at the St. Barbara manufacturing site. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of financial operations, reporting, and compliance, directly supporting the CFO's organizational objectives. The position focuses on three core areas: Financial Reporting & Analysis, Budgeting & Forecasting, and Internal Controls & Compliance, ensuring comprehensive oversight of the plant's financial performance through historical analysis, closing activities, forward-looking planning, and risk mitigation, in line with the responsibilities of a Senior Professional (P3) level. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of accounting principles, significant experience in financial analysis and controlling, and proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP. This senior role requires the ability to work independently on complex issues and mentor junior team members, with knowledge of digitalization and artificial intelligence considered a differentiating factor for candidates.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes for the manufacturing plant, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis of actual results against budget and forecast, providing insights on business performance.
- Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles for the St. Barbara plant in collaboration with operational departments.
- Ensure adherence to local accounting standards (BR-GAAP), IFRS, and internal corporate financial policies.
- Maintain and test the internal control framework (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley) to mitigate financial risks and serve as a key contact for audits.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a controlling, financial planning, or accounting role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience working independently on complex financial topics as expected for a senior professional level.
- Financial and accounting expertise, including knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in SAP applications and experience in process improvement and internal controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance and risk analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in English speaking and writing.
