A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Technical Trainer for Compressor Products, you will ensure employees and customers are equipped to operate, maintain, and fix Siemens Energy compressors effectively. Your work will include classroom instruction, hands-on training at the Training Center, and field learning at sites such as refineries, chemical plants, and offshore locations. Collaboration with engineering, field service, service centers, and product leadership will be key to delivering impactful training aligned with industry advancements. This role will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving training materials to ensure accuracy and effectiveness. We're seeking an innovative, proactive, and open-minded individual to help shape our training and certification programs. Safety and continuous learning are fundamental, and all training will strictly uphold safety standards. This Houston, TX-based role works with the Head of Training and Competence for Compression!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Safety Commitment: Lead all training activities with a strong focus on safety, ensuring strict adherence to protocols across classroom, lab, and field environments.
  • Training Program Development & Delivery: Design and facilitate technical training on Siemens Energy centrifugal compressors for employees, field teams, and customers, incorporating real-world field instruction at oil & gas and power generation sites.
  • Customized Client Solutions: Collaborate with clients and the sales team to develop tailored training programs that meet specific operational needs.
  • Training Content & Innovation: Develop and maintain high-quality, technically accurate training materials, integrating modern learning methods such as AR/VR, AI-driven platforms, and remote delivery.
  • Internal Training & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive internal employee training initiatives and work closely with field management, engineering, and support teams to align training with business goals.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Manage training records and reporting through the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.

What You Bring

  • Education & Experience: Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) or equivalent technical experience, with 5–8 years of hands-on work in centrifugal compressor operation, maintenance, and inspection (reciprocating compressor experience is a plus).
  • Technical & Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of Siemens Energy centrifugal compressor products, components, and associated systems.
  • Training Expertise: Proven experience designing and delivering technical training for internal staff and customers, using engaging instructional methods.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective across diverse technical audiences.
  • Personal Attributes: Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable, with the ability to lead, inspire trainees, and manage multiple training programs for varied stakeholders.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally to deliver on-site customer training and support on-site.
