A Snapshot of Your Day 

Join us as a Product Safety Officer (f/m/d) in the EQS Team, where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our Global Product Safety Management System. You will define product-specific safety requirements and standards while coordinating global development projects within the Siemens Energy Product Safety Community. Your expertise will guide the organization in planning, implementing, and continuously improving product safety measures through audits and gap analyses. Imagine leading initiatives that ensure our products meet the highest safety standards, contributing to a safer and more sustainable energy future.


How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Maintain and develop the Product Safety System, supporting the creation of process instructions relevant to product safety throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure robust systems are in place for product conformity, identifying key subject matter authorities to uphold compliance with regulations and technical standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality Management to plan and implement internal audits, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the Product Safety Management system.
  • Identify training needs and provide recommendations to foster a culture of safety and quality awareness within the organization.
  • Conduct risk assessments and lead investigations into product safety non-conformities, ensuring transparent communication with customers when necessary.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in Engineering or another technical field, with a strong background in quality and safety management, ideally within the power grid industry.
  • Certification as a CE coordinator with practical knowledge of conformity assessment processes for global market access (e.g., CE/UKCA/EAC/KC).
  • Skills in risk estimation and evaluation, with familiarity in methodologies such as HAZOP, RAPEX, and FMEA.
  • The ability to work independently and proactively explore new topics while collaborating closely with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Openness to travel 20-30% globally and professional-level proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
