How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead and develop a team of professional design engineers, setting clear goals and supporting their growth.
• Oversee the mechanical design and development of refurbishment solutions for medium gas turbine components and systems.
• Guide your team in testing, modifying, and validating prototype mechanical products and assemblies.
• Manage design workflows, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Collaborate with marketing, industrial design, and sister organizations to align product development with customer needs and drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring

• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical field.
• You bring significant experience in mechanical product design, ideally within the energy, aerospace, or gas turbine industry.
• You have proven leadership experience, managing and developing engineering teams.
• You are skilled in mechanical product design, refurbishment engineering, and proficient with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.
• You excel in stakeholder management, process improvement, and technical communication.

About the Team

You’ll join the Service Product Development and Engineering organization, where your leadership ensures business continuity and operational excellence for the Head of Refurbishment & Design function. The team is dedicated to delivering innovative refurbishment solutions for medium gas turbines, working closely with Overhauls and Parts, the Project Management Office, and design departments within CDE. Together, you’ll tackle complex engineering challenges, drive process improvements, and support Siemens Energy’s commitment to reliability and sustainability.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
