How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Direct all plant-level accounting operations, including month-end and year-end closing, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal policies.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements, performance reports, ad-hoc analyses, and oversee internal and external audits, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, long-term financial planning, and in-depth financial analysis including variance, cost accounting, and inventory valuation to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to support operational decision-making, cost reduction initiatives, profitability improvements, and evaluate capital investment proposals.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the plant finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and alignment with Transformers Americas’ financial strategies.
  • Drive optimization of financial processes and systems, leveraging SAP and other tools, and collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure alignment between financial plans and business objectives.

What You Bring (requirements)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) highly preferred; CPA certification or equivalent is an advantage.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with significant exposure to manufacturing or plant environments and senior leadership responsibility.
  • Proven expertise in financial management, cost accounting, budgeting, financial planning, internal controls, and variance analysis.
  • Strong leadership and strategic capabilities, including talent development, cross-functional collaboration, influencing skills, and business acumen.
  • Technical proficiency with SAP and other financial systems, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to deliver actionable insights and support executive decision-making.
