A Snapshot of Your Day
As SGT-A20 Engineering Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team across multiple geographic locations, with responsibility for improving fleet performance, reliability, availability, maintainability, and product safety. You will oversee technical investigations into in-service issues, drive engineering improvement and R&D activities, support product safety and critical part disposition decisions, and work closely with regional and cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions for both internal and external customers. Occasional international travel may be required.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Service Fleet Performance: Lead improvements in reliability, availability, and maintainability across the SGT-A20 fleet, while driving R&D programmes and engineering investigations to deliver robust, customer-focused solutions.
Collaboration: Partner closely with regional teams, Operational Service Desk, Project Management, SCM, MROC bases, Quality functions and M&S to align technical priorities with customer needs and broader business strategy.
Operational Excellence: Act as Delegate to Product Owner (Chief Engineer) when needed and support Product Safety decisions, PDP reviews, and critical parts dispositions (Production Permits, Concessions, Waivers, TLRFs)
People & Leadership: Develop and lead a high-performing, inclusive team by fostering accountability, building capability, and embedding a strong Zero Harm and continuous improvement culture.
What You Bring

- Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, defect investigation, engineering solution development, or maintenance strategy definition and optimisation, ideally within the energy or turbomachinery sectors.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, credible messages for both internal stakeholders and customers.
- A strong customer focus, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and building confidence through responsive, solution-oriented support.
- A strong commitment to safety and quality, with the credibility and leadership style to motivate others and set high standards.
- Knowledge of the SGT-A20 gas turbine and auxiliaries and their operational capabilities would be highly desirable
