A Snapshot of Your Day
This resource will be responsible for the management of all work scopes within the geographical area of assigned responsibility to include installation, initial testing, operation, maintenance, repair, servicing and modification of customer equipment and systems. The position reports directly to the Region Director for Field Service and will have a high degree of internal and external customer interface.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- The Field Service Engineer Manager owns the platform team to ensure that all aspects of the customer relationship are maintained. Identifies and handles the resolution of more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills to deal with most situations.
- Develop and maintain the primary customer interface within the assigned district. While running district non-conformance costs and the identification of technical and commercial risks and opportunities.
- Lead the performance of on-site technical and operational support in the design, development, installation and maintenance of equipment and systems of a complex nature. and develop Budgets and business plans to support the current and future workload within the district.
- Be responsible for the district’s financial Profit & Loss and required reporting. Work with internal and external customers to develop complex maintenance plans. and complete the planning and estimating to develop complex proposals.
- Perform the review of complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics and provides continual mentorship throughout task duration. and lead the collaboration of the platform team including LTP, Sales, Warranty, and parts to provide “outstanding” customer service.
- Lead the district engineers and support staff ranging in size from 5 to 15 persons. Develop employees through training and coaching while collaborating with other departments to continuously improve Siemens products and service, and communicate key technical, commercial and customer issues upward to Senior Management.
What You Bring
- BS/BA in a business-related field or Engineering, with 8+ years experience in Power Generation Service including field service
- You will be required to travel up to 30%
- You shall possess experience in general maintenance of large gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and associated equipment.
- You must hold experience in working with union & non-union labor
- You will have experience with Primavera and/or Microsoft Project scheduling software
- You must have experience working in SAP
