A Snapshot of Your Day
The Proposal Bid Engineer for Controls and Automation within Services will be at the forefront of aligning customer requirements with our company’s values. This role is responsible for managing opportunities from qualification through to contract award.
This position requires strong collaboration with Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Regional Sales teams and other groups involved in projects that include controls and automation scope (e.g., Modernizations and Upgrades).
The position will report to the Project Development Manager of Controls & Automation and will be based in Lodz, Poland.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- You will be responsible for all Controls and Automation bidding.
- The Bid Engineer will prepare the most competitive proposals in compliance with customer requirements and technical specifications.
- Collect all necessary information from customers to ensure the scope is clear when reviewing it with the team as needed.
- Ensure proposals are delivered on time as expected by the customer.
- Efficiently generate successful proposals for Automation/Controls and Digitalization of projects involving compressor equipment (comprehensive solutions and components).
- Coordinate and prepare offers considering Key Buying Factors, Offer strategy, Market price, and all Scope and Supply requirements in alignment with internal/external partners.
What You Bring:
- A master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering for automation, control technology, electrical engineering, project management, or equivalent with relevant industry experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience, with a professional background in engineering and control systems (hardware/software). Experience in commissioning control panels in a workshop is preferred.
- Familiarity with drawings such as Schematics, Network Diagrams, P&ID, mechanics, and software like S7, TIA Portal, Win CC, and PCS7 will be considered a plus.
- Industry knowledge in turbomachinery, compressors, energy, and/or oil & gas applications.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business requires.
- Fluency in English; German language skills will be a plus, as this position will support the bids team based in Duisburg.
