A Snapshot of Your Day 

The Project Director is accountable for the end‑to‑end delivery of factory projects that enable additional manufacturing capacity, acting as the single point of ownership for overall project performance. This role is assigned to the highest‑complexity Factory Expansion (FE) initiatives, which may consist of a single large project or a coordinated set of multiple projects executed at one site.

Projects are delivered within a matrix organizational setup, supported by the Factory Expansions organization, including Project Management Office (PMO), Implementation Assurance, Expert Support Group, and Training functions. Success in this role requires a leader who can collaborate across functions, take decisive ownership, and enforce disciplined execution, including robust change and claim management, to ensure commitments are met and project objectives are achieved.

Factory capacity projects involve multiple, interdependent workstreams, including facility design and construction, equipment sourcing and installation, workforce hiring and training, digital factory and IT enablement, technology transfer, and operational readiness, culminating in a safe, stable, and business‑ready manufacturing operation.


How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Overall leadership and accountability for high-complexity factory capacity projects including integrated delivery of multiple project scopes at a single site
  • End-to-end ownership from planning and feasibility through construction, commissioning, ramp-up and handover to operations
  • Leadership in a matrix organization leveraging PMO Implementation Assurance Expert Support and Training functions with full accountability for outcomes
  • Integration and governance of all workstreams with clear ownership aligned priorities and disciplined execution across technical operational and organizational interfaces
  • Establishment of strong project governance including change management claim management and adherence to safety quality schedule and budget standards
  • Alignment with business and operational readiness through stakeholder engagement effective decision making seamless handover and stable production ramp-up

What You Bring
  • Minimum 15 years of project management experience with a proven record of delivering highly complex multi-workstream industrial projects
  • Strong background in industrial and manufacturing construction including facilities development equipment installation commissioning and ramp-up
  • Demonstrated capability to deliver end-to-end turnkey solutions integrating construction equipment hiring training qualification and operational readiness
  • Experience leading large and complex project scopes including combined or program-like delivery at a single site
  • Proven effectiveness in matrix organizations with ability to influence without direct authority and hold teams accountable to commitments
  • Solid command of large-scale project governance including change management claim management cost and schedule control risk and opportunity management and performance reporting
