The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the design and execution of AIS and GIS EPC projects, applying deep technical knowledge to ensure safe and reliable electrical systems! This role includes developing design criteria and producing detailed design packages for substation construction and operation. Collaboration with multi-functional teams such as sales and project management is crucial to identify challenges and deliver innovative solutions. The engineer ensures projects meet industry standards, safety regulations, and are completed on time and within budget. A strong focus on compliance and standard methodologies drives successful project outcomes!

What You Bring

  • Confirmed Experience: 7-10 years in engineering roles within AIS/GIS Substations EPC.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of high voltage AIS/GIS equipment and electrical engineering principles.
  • Project Engineering Skills: Proficient in engineering design, analysis, and implementation, including the ability to develop and review user documentation and specifications.
  • Design & Analysis: Ability to build and evaluate engineering designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve engineering challenges effectively.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
  • EHS Compliance: Experience ensuring environmental, health, and safety compliance in engineering practices.
  • Education & Certification: Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or related field) and relevant certifications, with hands-on experience in HV-Substation design and construction.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
