As a Material Engineer at Siemens Energy, your day will be filled with engaging challenges and meaningful projects. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Support in-house and supplier production by addressing nonconformances and driving process improvements.
- Conduct qualifications, root cause analysis, and respond to materials inquiries.
- Assist the aftermarket team with material questions related to service-exposed parts, repairs, and lifetime assessments.
- Mentor junior colleagues, fostering their growth and development.
- Manage internal material specifications, technical delivery terms, and control documents related to materials.
What You Bring
- A master’s degree (or equivalent) in Materials Science or Engineering, with approximately 5-10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong expertise in metallurgy, mechanical testing, and material characterization.
- Proficiency in materials production methods such as welding, milling, turning, drilling, EDM, and other manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Fluency in English, with knowledge of Swedish as an asset.

Join our Materials and Chemistry Technology department, housed in a dedicated building with modern facilities, including mechanical testing laboratories and a fully equipped metallographic lab. Our team consists of 15 skilled professionals from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive culture and a shared passion for materials technology. Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
