A Snapshot of Your Day

  • Field Service Technician positions now available the Coyote Wind Farm in Snyder Texas, Scurry County. This is a 3 years service contract for (48) SG145s and (11) 2.415-108s wind turbine generators. Perform planned and unplanned maintenance including solving and replacement of parts if vital in a safe and professional manner on Wind Turbines. Detailed records and parts used must be completed for all work performed. Technicians report to site management and communicate needs and or safety issues that arise. Perform first class work on preventive maintenance to be completed on time and right the first time.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Performs mainly pre-defined, technical tasks (for example, basic commissioning of products and systems, integration of components to a system, basic engineering, maintenance jobs) and work packages on-site and remotely.
  • Supports customer remotely and onsite,and provides 2nd and 3rd level user support in case of arising issues.
  • Coordinates and accomplishes defined service operations and/or resolves product issues for customers equipment.
  • Supports in generating sales leads for pre-defined service offers and contributes to planning activities..

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience (A Degree or Certificate in Wind Energy is preferred).
  • Must have 1 year of Wind Technician experience or 6 months in a related program paired with 6 months on a wind site. Preferable minimum of 6 months training within the wind energy industry.
  • Climb Wind towers (up to 300 feet) multiple times and at times without climbing aids or lifts.
  • Relevant work experience e.g. electrical, mechanical, hydraulic maintenance/problem-solving in a military, industrial or automotive setting.
  • Certification from a Renewable Energy or Wind Technical Program or hands on work experience as a Technician at a Wind Power site preferred.
  • Willing to travel up to 30%.
  • Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 lbs. or less than required by the equipment safety laws.

Driving is an essential function of the job and applicants must have a valid driver’s license at the time of application with an acceptable driving record. Employees must maintain a valid license and may be subject to periodic DMV checks of their license.
