A Snapshot of Your Day 

Working in our Service Operations Team you are an integral part of the Siemens Energy Gas Service Organization in Region Europe & Africa. Our main task is providing safe, high-quality and affordable on-site service on operating power plants and for the global initial installation and commissioning of turbines and generators in our new plants. 

Various customers, colleagues and contractors being active in 70+ countries, a range of products e.g. steam and gas turbines as well as generators and components of the decarbonized service, and our global partner organizations are your collaborators. The scope of your role therefore is broad and you will need to balance operational and strategic tasks. 

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Strategic and operational leadership of EHS activities for Service Operations (~1,000 colleagues in 70+ countries), including alignment with regional and global EHS structures
  • Development and implementation of a comprehensive Health and Safety Strategy, including action planning, follow-up, and integration of Human & Operational Performance (HOP) principles
  • Functional coordination of internal and contracted Health and Safety Experts supporting On-Site Field Service, and representation of EHS topics in customer, supplier, and project interactions
  • Establishment of consistent health and safety reporting and review processes, including site walks, positive observations, near-miss documentation, and project-specific planning transparency
  • Initiation of targeted campaigns and special activities at incident hotspots and on ‘Zero Harm Day’ using various communication channels
  • Support in ensuring compliance with legal OSH requirements, including execution of OSH audits and continuous improvement through Lessons Learned
What You Bring
  • Open-minded approach combining hands-on experience with critical thinking
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields and a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safet is essential
  • Expert-level experience managing Health and Safety in large organizations or major projects
  • Several years of experience in Heavy Industry, Chemical Industry, or similar sectors
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written), basic German; Spanish or French is a plus
  • Teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills with ability to engage across all levels
About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
