To do so, you will apply a variety of different tools and 1D, 2D and 3D analysis methods.

Every day may be different, and the focus of your work will vary with the development phase of your projects. These phases include conceptual development, prototype development, manufacturing & testing, basic design & analysis, detailed design & analysis, manufacturing development & qualification and finally engine testing & validation.

You will align with colleagues, convince the customers and make decisions based on simplified low fidelity approaches if possible or run a 3D FEM, do a fracture mechanic or probabilistic assessment to find solutions for sophisticated design tasks, or anything in between.

You will be part of a global, international team and closely collaborate with colleagues from adjacent subject areas i.e. whole engine modelling, materials, product definition, manufacturing and service to develop a design that is a balanced compromise between project requirements for performance, lifetime and costs.
