A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all project matters related to construction, installation, and commissioning throughout the full project execution phase. You act as the central interface for project and sub‑project management while also functioning as the link between the project and team managers. Until the full site team joins—such as the site project manager, site manager business admin, construction manager, electrical construction manager, and commissioning manager—you temporarily assume their responsibilities and transition them after the project kick‑off. You manage inquiries across planning, construction, installation, test‑field activities, and commissioning, coordinating with other experts to ensure timely, accurate responses and consistent project support. You provide early feedback, outline options when issues fall outside of installation and commissioning, and oversee related accounting and concurrent costing handover when applicable. Within the Grid Technologies (GT) business area, you coordinate RFQ/DOR topics with headquarters and regional units and support the preparation of installation‑related contract documents. During the bid phase, you or the specialist bid manager assist with technical clarifications and documentation for testing, installation, and commissioning. You also support project scheduling by critically reviewing schedules, recommending optimizations, clarifying details as the project evolves, and coordinating required resources.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Serving as the single point of contact for all construction, installation and commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and early escalation of changes.
  • Driving project planning and coordination by collaborating with specialists, reviewing contracts, clarifying tender documents, scheduling personnel, and overseeing construction, installation, commissioning, and test‑field activities.
  • Supporting bid and order‑entry costing by transferring bid inputs, contributing to concurrent costing (MIKA), and ensuring risks and opportunities are carried forward into execution.
  • Leading project discussions on status, risks, opportunities, inspections, and NCC‑related topics while ensuring lessons learned are captured and shared across the community.
  • Preparing key project deliverables—including master test plans, maintenance work lists, and customer training support—while ensuring smooth handover to site management and ultimately to the customer.
  • Coordinating customer and internal interfaces by addressing inquiries, aligning on technical contract requirements, and representing key personnel until fully staffed.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 7 or more years of experience in Construction Management with proven growth in responsibilities. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • Very good level of experience/overview in the areas of construction, installation, and commissioning.
  • Experience of functional management of employees.

Travel, as needed (~50%).

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
