As an Operations Controller in our Manufacturing Logistics team, you’ll deliver both strategic and hands-on improvements that enhance operational performance. Your day will involve leading improvement projects, supporting digital systems, coordinating stock control activities, and optimising warehouse space. With a focus on data, quality, and cross-functional collaboration, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring materials flow efficiently to support production and customer delivery.

How You'll Make an impact

  •  Project Leadership: Drive tactical and critical initiatives that enhance logistics operations, such as kitting, transportation, and warehouse footprint optimisation.
  •  Stock Take Management: Own the annual stock take strategy, coordinating across all internal and offsite locations, ensuring timely and accurate inventory counts.
  •  Storage Optimisation: Lead initiatives to improve space utilisation, reduce external storage reliance, and enable more efficient stock flows.
  •  Digital Tools & Systems: Act as a champion for SAP, MES, and data reporting platforms (e.g. Tableau), supporting adoption and efficient use across the team.
  •  Quality & Cost Improvements: Analyse logistics-related non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to reduce cost and improve delivery reliability.
  •  Collaboration & Reporting: Provide clear performance reporting and collaborate with warehouse supervisors and cross-functional teams to embed process changes.

What You Bring

  •  Experience: Solid background in logistics, warehousing, or stock control within a complex or large-scale manufacturing environment.
  •  Technical Skills: Competent in SAP and Microsoft Office; confident using or supporting data visualisation tools such as Tableau.
  •  Process Focus: Understanding of lean principles, logistics quality standards, and continuous improvement tools (e.g. 5 WHYs).
  •  Strong Communicator: Able to work across functions and influence at all levels of the organisation.
  •  Proactive Mindset: Analytical thinker with a drive for improvement, able to balance day-to-day operations with long-term planning.
