A Snapshot of Your Day
You start your day collaborating with manufacturing engineers across Berlin and Mülheim, aligning on project priorities and team development. Throughout the day, you coordinate with design engineering and suppliers to drive product and process qualifications for investment-cast components. You lead project meetings, review progress against time, cost, and quality targets, and provide technical input during design reviews. In focused work sessions, you analyze manufacturing data, resolve technical challenges, and support supplier performance improvements. Regular interactions with cross-functional teams ensure smooth industrialization and transition into series production while maintaining high quality standards.
How You’ll Make an Impact - Leadership and development of a team of manufacturing engineers across multiple locations, including performance management and capability building
- Responsibility for end-to-end project management of new product development and series production, ensuring adherence to time, cost, and quality targets
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives such as cycle time reduction, cost optimization, and reduction of non-conformance costs
- Management of the full product lifecycle for investment cast components from design for manufacturing through industrialization to series production
- Oversight of supplier performance in quality, cost, and delivery, including supplier assessments, selection, and development of strategic partners
- Technical leadership in design reviews, product and process qualification, and application of casting, metallurgy, quality assurance methods, and non-destructive testing techniques
What You Bring- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Diploma degree in Foundry Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in the foundry industry with strong expertise in investment casting and manufacturing processes
- Proven leadership and project management experience in technical and cross-functional environments, including supplier collaboration
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies such as FMEA and structured problem-solving approaches, as well as non-destructive testing methods
- Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills combined with a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented mindset
- Business-fluent English skills and solid basic knowledge of German
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
