About the role

A Snapshot of Your Day

As an electromechanical at Siemens Energy Large Power Transformers, you will play a critical role in maintaining the factory’s operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems and machinery to ensure high level of availability of the machines implementing zero breakdown culture. You will utilize and continuously develop your troubleshooting skills to repair electrical and mechanical part, such as control panels, wiring, motors, pumps, and circuit breakers, using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment. Collaboration will be key, as you work closely with the maintenance team, process engineers, and operators to address urgent issues that may impact production schedules, all while strictly adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.

In addition, you will assist with equipment installations and upgrades, ensuring all work complies with manufacturer specifications, technical requirements, and mechanical/electrical codes. Accurate documentation will be essential, as you will record all maintenance activities, update logs in systems like SAP and COMOS, and actively participate in team meetings to review progress and plan upcoming tasks. Your contributions will directly support the factory’s goal of maximizing operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Perform Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure equipment reliability, reduce unexpected failures, and support long-term operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Equipment Issues: Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using technical expertise and tools, implementing timely corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Support Operational Excellence: Participate in Genba walks to observe frontline operations, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure alignment with safety and performance standards. Monitor and analyze KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage Equipment Documentation and Planning: Maintain accurate records and technical documentation for systems and components. Assist in developing and updating equipment trees to support structured maintenance planning and asset tracking.
  • Conduct Component and Failure Analysis: Evaluate the lifespan of electrical/mechanical components using historical data and equipment tree parameters. Collaborate on root cause analysis to prevent recurring failures and optimize replacement schedules.
  • Ensure Safety and Reliability Culture: Follow all safety protocols and regulatory standards, while promoting a zero-breakdown mindset to foster a culture of reliability, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What We Expect You to Bring

  •  Minimum of 5 years of experience working in maintenance. Formal education in electromechanical or mechatronics preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings and schematics
  • Experience in PLC programming (Siemens will be considered a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills (communication with the internal maintenance team, suppliers, and production team)
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Maintenance Management Systems (COMOS and/or SAP will be considered a plus)
