A Snapshot of Your Day

The logistics trainee is responsible for follow-up to transport coordination and follow-up to import and/or export process.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Ability to manage administrative processes.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of logistics and transportation activities (including oversea shipments).
  • Responsible to prepare documents as part of each movement.
  • Constant contact with suppliers and carriers.
  • Basic knowledge of international trade (imports and exports).
  • Pick-up for materials from suppliers (air waybill, PO´s, arrange transportation).
  • Generating purchase orders in SAP.
  • Support with Freigh Forwarders account statements and other suppliers.
  • Follow up on the transit process of materials and components from the supplier's plant to their entry into the company.   

What You Bring
  • Education: Graduate in International Trade or Logistics.
  • Knowledge and handling of Incoterms. FCL and LCL imports and exports.
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Knowledge of imports and multimodal experience (air/sea/land).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate English. Especially reading and writing skills.
  • Intermediate Excel, Word & Power Point.

The traffic intern reports to the traffic coordinator and is involved in internal areas such as CS, Quality, Engineering, WH and finance, also with other Siemens Energy plants related to the supply chain. Works externally with suppliers and carriers.
