About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
Join us at the Winston Technology Center, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the production and repair of turbine components. Envision leading the charge in developing and implementing cutting-edge technology solutions that elevate our blades and vane repair processes. You will engage with cross-functional teams to uncover technological needs and drive innovation, while also conducting research on emerging technologies that can revolutionize turbine repair and manufacturing. Your expertise will shine as you provide technical support and training for our staff, ensuring they are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills. Together, we will coordinate and assess technology applications, providing suggestions for ongoing improvement while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and implement technology solutions to improve blades and vane repair and new parts production processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technological needs and opportunities for innovation, particularly in AI, automation, robotics, and programming.
- Conduct research and analysis on emerging technologies relevant to turbine repair and manufacturing.
- Provide technical support and training to staff on new technologies and applications.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of technology applications and recommend improvements.
- Assist in the development of technical documentation and training materials.
- Uphold conformity with safety and quality criteria for every technology application.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 10 or more years of related work experience in design and product development and 5 or more years in advanced manufacturing environments.
- Leadership and people management experience for at least 5 years, ideally within design or manufacturing roles.
- Sound grasp of gas turbine components including Blades, Vanes, Ring Segments, and Combustors.
- Solid understanding of advanced manufacturing processes such as diffusion bonding, machining, welding, assembly processes, and rotating equipment technology.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of technical professionals, fostering teamwork and accountability.
- Strong interpersonal skills to empower your team and build customer confidence, along with a grasp of business financials and continuous improvement methodologies.

About Winston Technology Center
Winston Technology Center in Rural Hall, North Carolina, is a modern, 500,000-square-foot manufacturing facility on 249 acres campus employing approximately 400 staff. We Specialize in the production and repair of turbine components for the 60Hz energy market, the center supports large gas and steam turbines within the Gas Services Division. This division delivers low-emission power solutions, including decarbonization and fleet modernization services, with all gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators managed on-site for Siemens Energy.
