Snapshot of Your Day:

We are looking for a Head of Sales Excellence, Strategy & Marketing in Houston, TX to lead and manage a team of sales excellence professionals, providing guidance and coaching to achieve sales goals.

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • Optimize sales support tools for compression, including Sales Force, Pro-Hub, Tableau and Siemens Energy proposal tools.
  • Manage sales processes from business opportunities lead management to handover stages tied to the project management function.
  • Develop and deliver value-selling tools and training.
  • Develop and manage sales metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Responsible for development and maintenance of comprehensive pricing information, market analysis, and customer intelligence.
  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by working closely with the services delivery team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Manage the sales budget and ensure expenses align with revenue goals.
  • Handle structuring, implementing, and delivering on the CP Shape Up plan as a key strategic initiative.
  • Responsible for functional leadership of the global marketing professionals under the Regional Sales Heads for Siemens Energy compression business.
  • Accountable for regional business development plans, implementation of marketing strategies to support company goals, and coordination of critical strategic planning processes including regional strategy framework and support to strategic order intake planning, that impact global compression market performance, headcount resources planning and compression business strategy.
  • Identify new market opportunities and development of sales strategy for clean technology segments.
  • Stay current on industry trends and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and product offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment on sales strategies and customer needs.
  • Lead lessons-learned initiatives based on win-loss analysis and provide market reports.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and improve sales efficiency.
  • Support new product launches and strategic market entry plans.
  • Telecommuting permitted.
  • 25% domestic/international travel required.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field and 6 years of experience.
  • Will accept Master’s and 4 years of experience.
  • Experience must include 2 years with: strategic planning processes including regional strategy framework, order intake planning, market entry, launch plan and sales strategy development for gas turbines, compressors & solutions;
  • Sales support tools including Sales Force, Pro-Hub, Tableau and proposal tools;
  • Compression systems and configurations;
  • Decarbonization technologies and industrial processes, including green/blue hydrogen production, carbon capture storage and utilization, clean fuels, compressed air energy storage and heat pumps for steam generation;
  • Portfolio costing/pricing, including electric motor driven compressors, gas power generation sets and gas/steam turbine driven compressors.
