About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
To perform all the necessary steps to assemble materials into lower molds with emphasis on Blade Packing. The Fabricator will work under the direction of Leads, managers, or engineers in order to follow all applicable specifications and procedures regarding the performance of shop operations. It is important to use all required safety equipment and follow established safety procedures. We support and apply team concepts in daily activities and keep work areas in a clean and orderly condition. We are available for overtime for up to 12 -hour days and on off days.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Assemble and document blade assembly and interpret drawings, sketches, etc. to obtain materials, tools, and dimensional information to perform essential functions of the job with minimal supervision.
- Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of equipment to assemble, inspect, and evaluate parts per accepted Siemens or industry standards.
- Insert the web and mandrels (dorns) as needed.
- Perform visual inspections of specific equipment and tools required for each task or assignment.
- Verify dimensions of materials used in the packing process.
- Provide technical direction and training of other employees as needed.
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently. Demonstrate proficiency in SAP and other MS Office computer tools
- Demonstrate the ability to count and record material data with a high degree of accuracy and ability to read and understand metric measuring system.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis and sit, stand, bend & kneel for 8 or more hours/day
- Ability to use hand & power tools and lifting equipment (gantry cranes).
- Possess or have ability to acquire all PIME license by passing company test requirements and possess or have ability to acquire LOTO certification. The employee must certify on packing standards for blades.
