A Snapshot of Your Day
Siemens Energy is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process and Product Digitalization Manager to join our management staff. This individual will play a pivotal role in spearheading the digital transformation and strategy of our processes and products. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES), automating business administration processes, and transitioning our company to a paperless environment. Additionally, they will oversee the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) used in conjunction with our product line.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Define and align the business's short and long-term digital landscape with internal stakeholders, ensuring data governance and best practices. Lead the digitalization efforts by identifying areas for improvement, automating existing manual processes, and integrating digital technologies into manufacturing operations.
- Drive the organization towards a Citizen Development mindset by engaging internal stakeholders and domain experts to facilitate data-driven decisions across the business. Utilize ETL and reporting tools such as Alteryx and Tableau to enhance business intelligence.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Manufacturing Execution System (MES) that optimizes manufacturing processes, improves operational efficiency, and enables real-time data analysis and reporting. Integrate the ERP system (SAP) with the MES and other applications to ensure seamless data transfer between departments and systems.
- Define and manage business applications and the required data architecture, ensuring system integrity and availability to avoid operational disruptions. Ensure systems comply with internal cybersecurity rules and industry standards. Manage SQL databases (Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, and Snowflake) and Windows Servers.
- Plan and coordinate team activities by establishing engineering procedures in accordance with corporate guidelines, industry standards, and customer requirements. Define metrics and KPIs to measure team performance and workload.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years of experience in process digitalization, manufacturing automation, and product lifecycle management within a manufacturing setting.
- At least 3 years of experience with Engineering-to-Order manufacturing environments; experience with energy sector products is an advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years as a Database Administrator (DBA), preferably with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Database.
- Extensive expertise in ERP systems, including backend structures and the development of product configurators, with a strong preference for SAP ERP Central Component (SAP ECC).
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
