A Snapshot of Your Day

We are looking for a Deputy Operations Manager to join our Coastal Virginia] Offshore Service team and lead service delivery at the Coastal Virginia, where you will be based between our office in Virginia Beach and the site location(s). The Deputy Operations Manager supports the Operations Manager to drive performance and delivery within the project and act as a delegate during times of absence. The role will accept full responsibility for the delivery of core tasks and work packages with an ambition that Deputy Operations Managers can progress into future Operations Manager positions.  In return we offer you an exciting opportunity in the international and fast-growing business that is Offshore Wind and to be part of the wind farm management team and playing a major part in driving the delivery of the Global offshore wind agenda along with dedicated and inspiring teams and people.

How You’ll Make an Impact

·         Contribute to implementation of strategies, programs and/or new processes to support continuous improvement within the project.

·         Drive compliance with EHS standards according to Siemens Gamesa and local requirements within the project, as a visible safety leader.

·         Ensure compliance with QA standards. Demonstrate and lead a quality culture with the team.

·         Actively cooperate with other service projects to drive best practice and lessons learned and drive productivity and efficiency.

·         Create operations and maintenance campaign plans together with the departments responsible and ensure their implementation.

·         Support the Operations Manager and Commercial Operations Manager with reporting and participate in monthly project meetings internal and external.

What You Bring

  • Degree within Engineering or Business, or demonstrable experience within complex projects or operational delivery.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading teams (technician and back-office) and dealing with commercial and operational activities, ideally within a service environment (alternatively Manufacturing or Construction).
  • Knowledge of customer service contract management, project delivery and safety leadership.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing customer relationships.
  • Strong communication and broad stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Product technical knowledge of wind turbines is an advantage.
  • Fluent in the English language.
